Plastindia 2023 is now in its 11th edition and is an important event for plastics manufacturers, processors and applicators interested in the Indian market. Plastindia 2023, launched as PLASTINDIA 2021 (postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic), is the third largest exhibition of its kind in the world and the largest in India. It is supported by the Department of Chemistry and Petrochemicals, MII, SBM and other entities at the Indian government level. The event is set to surpass the benchmark created by the previous 10 editions and will feature more than 2,000 exhibitors from India and 40 other countries.
Sirmax at Plastindia with Autotech-Sirmax JV
Sirmax will be present with the Autotech-Sirmax JV in Hall 2H GF D3. The Group entered the Indian market in 2017 by signing a joint venture with Autotech Polymers, of the Tipco Group, a company specialised in polypropylene and engineering polymers in the domestic appliance and automotive sectors in India with plants in West Valsad (Mumbai) and North Palwal (Delhi). More than 30 ktons per year of polypropylene and engineering polymers are produced in the Indian plants. The Indian market is very important for the automotive sector. According to S&P Global Mobility 4.4 million cars were sold in 2022 and in terms of car production, India ranks fourth with a production of 5 million vehicles in 2022. The Indian market is very important and strategic for Sirmax to reach its vehicle manufacturing customers in India.
