'Più Ricicli, più aiuti la tua scuola':
an initiative for Primary Schools

The 'Le Centurie' Shopping Centre in San Giorgio delle Pertiche recently welcomed a state-of-the-art eco-compactor in its car park, thanks to funding from the Ministry of the Environment. This pilot project aims to improve the collection and recycling of single-use plastic by actively involving citizens.

To promote the use of the eco-compactor among the new generations, "Le Centurie" Shopping Centre, in collaboration with the Municipality of San Giorgio delle Pertiche, launched the initiative ‘Più Ricicli, più aiuti la tua scuola’ (The more you recycle, the more you help your school). Aimed at local primary schools, this operation stimulates a virtuous competition among pupils. During the period of the initiative, the students who deliver the greatest number of plastic bottles to the eco-compactor will be able to win one of three prizes for the purchase of educational material for their school.

The initiative involves more than 2,500 children and also allows parents, relatives and friends to participate by awarding the obtained ecobonuses to their chosen school.

Sirmax talks about the plastic journey

Sirmax Group sees sustainability as a fundamental part of its business and wants to spread a culture oriented towards environmental protection and conservation. To enrich the educational value of the initiative and to illustrate this approach, Sirmax Group has created an educational exhibition explaining the journey of plastics, from collection to recycling and the reuse of these materials to create new, more sustainable plastics. Thanks to the ‘The more you recycle, the more you help your school’ initiative, pupils in the fourth and fifth classes can visit the exhibition and take part in science workshops on the subject of plastics, run by the Pleiades Group.

Younger children and visitors to the Centre can participate in creative recycling workshops on Sunday afternoons during the initiative. This initiative not only promotes recycling, but also educates young people about the importance of sustainability and respect for the environment.

We invite everyone to visit the exhibition, open from 8 to 23 March 2025 at 'Le Centurie' Shopping Centre. A unique opportunity to learn and actively contribute to environmental sustainability!
